Situated on a cove along the western shore of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay, this home was designed for a pair of art collectors. The ship-lapped white wood exterior is a modern interpretation of the historic white clapboard outbuildings that were originally located around the property. The large mahogany windows frame views through and from the house out to the landscape beyond.
This project was completed in 2020 while Katherine was a Project Manager at ARCHITECTUREFIRM. More pictures of the project can be seen at ARCHITECTUREFIRM’s website. The project received an AIA Richmond Merit Award in 2022 and an AIA Virginia Merit Award in 2026.
